Organization and administration

OSDEL is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997 and owned and controlled by its right holders. OSDEL represents with direct mandates more than 6000 writers, journalists and translators and 800 book and press publishers and has bilateral agreements with 31 foreign CMOs.


Mission and Role

OSDEL protects and administers rights in literary works and publications. We collect the equipment levies for the reproduction for private purposes and licence the analogue and digital use of literary works and publications for educational purposes or by businesses (including press clippings) and by copyshops. Furthermore we support cultural and social needs of authors and publishers.
